Kindle Paperwhite E-reader (2016)

The Kindle Paperwhite E-reader (2016) is retailing on Amazon for US$119.99 (S$167). It doesn’t ship to Singapore directly and hence you have to ship it through a freight forwarder like HopShopGo.

If you want to get it locally from Singapore, you can get it from SG E-Reader Shop. They are selling the Kindle Paperwhite E-reader (2016) for S$209 which is pretty reasonable. Shipping is free within Singapore and it takes 2 to 3 days before reaching you via Ninja Van.

If you get it directly from Amazon, it adds up to be about the same as SG E-Reader Shop after you add in freight forwarder shipping and of course you have to wait longer.

This Kindle Paperwhite is technically a 2015 model, it was released back in June 2015. However, in June this year (2016), they released a new color which is white.

Since the only difference between the actual 2015 model and 2016 model is just a color difference, most sites decided to name both colors of Kindle Paperwhite as Kindle Paperwhite (2016). This is to avoid confusion and to prevent people from thinking that the Kindle Paperwhite White (2016) is a better than the Kindle Paperwhite Black (2015).
