Bought the Apple Magic Mouse 2 for S$119 because my old Magic Mouse had spoilt.

I am able to connect my old Magic Mouse to my iMac but when I move the mouse, the cursor still stays put. Tried changing batteries and even using a different Mac, both method didn’t work which makes me conclude that it is spoilt for good.

The new Magic Mouse eliminates the use of traditional 2x AA batteries and now has an in-built rechargeable battery that is charged through a Lightning Port. This makes it lighter and more convenient.

The only downside is, if the battery is flat, you can’t charge the mouse and use it at the same time because the Lightning Port is at the bottom of the mouse.

This design is flawed. The charging port should be in front, so in the case of flat batteries, you still can charge and use it at the same time.

Another design flaw is the lack of charging indicator. I do not know if the mouse is actually charging if I plug in the Lightning to USB cable. I can only assume it is charging.
