I backed the Flip British Plug on Kickstarter on 22nd November 2015. The project was funded on 18th December 2015 after raising a total of £28,115 out of their initial goal of £15,000 from 1,140 backers.

I chose the £14 reward level and shipping to Singapore cost another £5. So in total, I paid £19 (S$38).

Receive 1 Flip Quad and flip the British bulge.

Flip is a thinner modern-day update to the British plug by OneAdaptr. Flip is a third of the standard British plug’s size and has USB ports and power bank for today’s gadgets.

In case you are wondering, OneAdaptr also designed Twist, which is a ultra-portable universal adapter designed to work with the MacBook adapter.

There are three variants of the Flip: Flip Power, Flip Duo and Flip Quad.

Flip Power has a built-in 2,000mAh powerbank and two USB ports that is capable of 3.4A maximum combined output. It measures 48 x 18 x 126 mm and weighs 100g.

Flip Duo has two USB ports and is capable of 3.4A maximum combined output similar to Flip Power. It measures 48 x 18 x 78 mm and weighs 60g.

Flip Quad as the name implies has four USB ports that is capable of 5A maximum combined output. It measures 48 x 18 x 108 mm and weighs 85g.

I backed the Flip Quad because I don’t need the powerbank in the Flip Power and I find two USB ports too little in the Flip Duo.

The Flip British Plug supposed to start shipping in February 2016 but it got delayed till end-April 2016. I finally received it on 11th May 2016.
